Coaching Session Plans

As part of our ongoing commitment to our kids and as part of our responsibility as a club, we host education courses each year at Rawson, and although there is a cost, the Club funds those costs for members. This year we are hosting a number of courses, see below for details on current courses.

Coaching Cycle Plans

Nick Bousie – MJRC’s director of coaching has developed great Coach’s Cycle & Training Plans for all age groups with clearly structured session plans, activity templates and focus areas across multiple cycles during the season.

Refereeing Kids Rugby (All Age Groups)

WHERE & WHEN: TBA

The course content is specifically targeted towards the realities of rugby at the younger ages of U8-U12. Includes SmartRugby.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This is the starting point for match officials. In addition, every Minis team needs at least two referees to cover their obligations. It’s also ideal for leadership group members from U13s and over, and anyone wanting to develop their own rugby by furthering their understanding of the game. Need to be at least U13s.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Open to all, this is the next level for match officials and coaches to workshop together and learn from World Rugby Educators (1 day course)
