Our great game can seem complex at times, so education is essential. That is why, as part of our ongoing commitment to our kids and as part of our community responsibility as a club, we host education courses each year at Rawson.
The starting point for understanding our game is the Refereeing Kids Rugby (RKR) course. The course content is specifically targeted towards the realities of rugby at the younger ages of U8-U12 and includes SmartRugby.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
- Everyone! Ideally at least, so Mosman can have the most informed sideline in Sydney. How good would that be?
- Coaches & Managers. An ideal way to gain your Smart Rugby credential (which is mandatory) and lead your players;
- Leadership Groups. This is especially relevant to U13s and above, where the on-field leaders start to manage the game and regularly deal with the referees;
- Minis Family. Each Minis team needs at least two referees to cover their team obligations.
WHEN & WHERE?
Monday night 16th March (that’s next Monday!) from 6pm until 9pm. You will be fed and watered, and the club will cover the cost of the course.
